How it all Started

Shardae Townsend Whelping Program was founded in October 2023. We started out with two female American Bully XLs, which combined, gave birth to 18 puppies within a week apart. My 2 daughters and 2 cousins teamed up to help whelp the litter. We had two shifts looking after the pups morning and night, feeding , stimulating and caring for the mom dog every two hours.

Since the inception of Shardae Townsend Kennels, my team and I have gained knowledge on dog anatomy, neuters, spays, medications, wound care, X-rays, the importance of sanitization, and preventative health such as routine vaccines, dewormers, wellness exams, and disease prevention. We want to thank each person who has supported STK along the journey. We also owe a very special thanks to Jeni Greeson, owner of Puppy Pro Whelping Service, and our personal veterinarian Dr. Beth Overton, owner of Greater Oaks Veterinarian Clinic and Irby-Overton Veterinarian Hospital located here in Mobile Alabama.
